SIA Security Guarding Lv2

The purpose of a Static Security Officer is to maintain a high visibility deterrent to Criminals, Intruders, Vandals, Trespassers or anybody/anything that can cause a risk to a site or surrounding area. 

Some of the types of premises and/or surrounding areas that sometimes require a Static Security Officer include: 

• Building Sites

• Large office establishments

• Factories

• Campsites / Caravan Parks

• Agricultural Areas

• Housing Estates

• Manor Houses

• Public Entertainment Venues

• Reception Areas

• Residential Homes

The SIA Security Guard licence offers a gateway to basic career as Security Guard. Whilst a security guard cannot work in venues selling alcohol and other entertainment venues, they are able to work in a variety of locations including banks, shopping centres, residential and other areas.

Core Training for Security industry operatives 10 hours)

• Basic awareness of Legislation in the Private Security Industry

Security Guarding Specialist Module (8 hours)

Conflict Management Module (8 hours)

• Avoiding Conflict and Reducing Personal Risk
