Hi, I’m Jacki
…I started out as a lifeguard 19 years ago and in that time I have achieved so many other qualifications. Being a lifeguard is a job I love so when I got the chance to become a trainer, I took it. I have worked in all of the different sports centres in North Lanarkshire, delivering and assessing the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification which I have been doing for 11 years now. I also deliver regular monthly NPLQ training. I progressed onto becoming a mentor for RLSS to mentor probationary TA’s through their probation period and into becoming a full TA. I really do have a passion for helping others achieve their goals. I will try help them as best I can. My goal is to start the journey to gaining my Level 4 in Education and Training to become a National Trainer Assessor.
Delivering the NPLQ quickly led me into teaching National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches and from there I now deliver a range of different First Aid courses all over Scotland for so many different working environments I.e. construction workers, nurseries, care homes and plumbers. I believe everyone should have some form of first aid training, these essential skills really do have the potential to save someone’s life and give the first aider confidence to apply those skills in an emergency situation. I enjoy helping people achieve those skills.
