Trainer Profile:

John Cutter

Hi, I’m John

…I set up as a Freelance Trainer in October 2017, although I have been in and out of training for the past 45 years.

Since starting I have updated my teaching qualifications to Level 4 Education and Training, updated or extended my courses profile, purchased my own first aid training equipment and undertaken numerous courses such as health and safety, manual handling and fire safety to enhance my tutoring role.

I have trained, mentored and managed personnel in the many positions of my career including First Aid, Health & Safety, Manual handling, COSHH, Fire Safety, and worked for Scottish and Southern and Eon. Energy.

During my employment in the N.H.S. I devised, implemented and trained a customer relations programme, a mechanical and manual handling course and an induction course on a trust wide basis. This was before the days of computers, Powerpoint or recognised courses!

I am a Community First Responder for Wales Ambulance Service NHS Trust for the last 4 years as well as being a resident and events medic, for a variety of clubs, sports and venues.

I devised a side-line ‘first responders’ course for the support staff of South Gower R.F.C. for which I am the senior XV medic.

I have also in the past, in my spare time; have undertaken instructor roles in swimming, SCUBA and Lifeguards.

I absolutely love training and consider myself lucky that I work at my hobby.
